Who We Are
Kinkeeper is a personal household management service operated by Salima Porbanderwala, based in Sugar Land, Texas. This privacy policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our website and services.
What Information We Collect
When you apply to join a Kinkeeper cohort, we collect:
- Contact information: Your name, email address, phone number, and ZIP code.
- Household information: Any details you share about your household challenges, needs, or preferences during the application or onboarding process.
- Usage data: We use self-hosted analytics (Umami) to understand how visitors interact with our website. This includes page views, referral sources, and general location data (country/region level only). We do not use cookies that track you across other websites. We do not collect personally identifiable information through analytics.
How We Use Your Information
- To process your cohort application and manage your place in the queue.
- To communicate with you about your application, onboarding, and ongoing service.
- To provide and improve our household management services.
- To send service-related updates (schedule changes, reminders, reports).
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes. We will never do this.
How We Protect Your Information
- All data is stored in a secure, encrypted database.
- Access to your information is limited to Salima personally.
- Passwords and sensitive credentials (if shared for service purposes) are stored in an encrypted password manager.
- Our analytics are self-hosted — your browsing data is not sent to Google, Facebook, or any third-party tracking platform.
Your Rights
- Access: You can request a copy of all data we hold about you at any time.
- Correction: You can ask us to update or correct your information.
- Deletion: You can request that we delete all your personal information. When our working relationship ends, all your data is returned to you and permanently deleted from our systems within 30 days.
- Opt-out: You can opt out of non-essential communications at any time by emailing hello@kinkeeper.com.
Data Retention
Active client data is retained for the duration of the service relationship plus 30 days after termination. Application data for non-accepted applicants is retained for 6 months, then deleted unless you request earlier deletion.
